Course Overview

The ICS (Incident Command System) is a standardized way of helping users and organizations develop proactive solutions to help manage risks and/or incidents. It takes into account the complexity of single, multiple and varied incidents across organizations, user-types, environments and conditions and allows trainees to develop a clear awareness of how to plan for these shifting dynamics. 

 This ICS 1-100 course provides graduates with a foundational understanding of the principles, features, structures and history of ICS so they can prepare for higher levels of training and responsibilities in their workplace, and careers.

The course can be completed within approximately four (4) hours.

Passing Criteria

Throughout the course, students are tested on their acquired knowledge. Each participant must answer questions meant to reinforce the supplied material. A grade of 80% is required to get a completion certificate. If the course pass mark is not attained on the first try, each participant may retake the course twice.

Certificate of Completion

A certificate of completion will be made available for download and printing after completing this online course, and is valid for three years. It is recommended you re-takes this course every 3 years to keep your credentials up to date.
