Course Overview

The Leadership for Safety Excellence Online program offers the Accident/Incident Investigation course. This training is geared toward municipal supervisors and teaches them how to support the city’s health and safety management system.

This online Accident/Incident Inquiry course aims to enable those investigating workplace accidents/incidents to better comprehend the objective and method of investigation.

Upon completing this course, students should be able to identify and differentiate between the immediate (or direct) causes of accidents/incidents and the underlying (or root) reasons and propose appropriate corrections.

Online Course Duration

The course can be completed within 3 hours.

Passing Criteria

The testing in this online course aims to reinforce the lessons taught. This course requires a passing grade of at least 80%. It is possible to retake the course three times to get a passing grade.

Certificate of Completion

A certificate of completion will be made available to you for printing and downloading after you’ve completed the course. Unless otherwise stated by an employer, law, or another body, this certificate is valid for three years from the date of completion indicated on the certificate. After the completion date on your certificate has passed, it is advised that you complete this course again after three years.
